Called Home
“Called Home” is a collection of questions and answer; imagine coming “back” to a country that you thought you would never live in. From once physical barriers, to everlasting emotional barriers, the artist seeks to answer what Singapore means to them and what it holds. Experiencing one location to the next, rewalking paths and visiting locations that are meant to signal “home”. Memory and archival imagery act as pillars of support on this meandering path to understanding and navigating “home”.
Originally in book form, the text rectangles are printed on translucent vellum.
