Two Years Later
Two Years Later, is a continuation of No Labels. Two years ago, in the summer of ’16, I created my first project, No Labels, revolving around the LGBTQIA+ community at MICA. Two years later, I am still friends with these individuals and now we are embarking on a new journey together.
I consider No Labels to be a piece of work that changed and inspired my practice and identity; the impact it has I slowly come to realise. Over two years, the individuals and myself have changed and grown, not only through the LGBTQIA+ community, but in identity, art, style and much more. This piece serves as a reflection, a recollection of change and a documentation of our current selves.
I hope to continue this project, to explore the different ways to capture how oneself can change and grow as time passes by in a positive light.
Each page was written on by the individual photographed, reflecting on their journey.
