To Walk
Memory is ephemeral, space and place are all intertwined.
To Walk is a site-specific immersive installation focusing on the translation of feeling; the feeling of being in between. Retracing footsteps that were never familiar, the artist seeks to find home. Through the exploration of metaphysical online/real-life in-between space (archival imagery, new imagery and Google Street View), it is the journey of making tangible the lifelong process of finding home and to understand what it means to forever have a barrier to "home". Fabric acts as landmarks, the maze is one that the viewer and the artist embark on together. Photographic moments shows glimpses into distorted memory. The installation reacts and changes based on the space and place it inhabits.
