"Hi! 👋 Come by on your daily walk to get your portrait taken today from 3-7pm (April 12) and tomorrow (April 13) from 9am-noon!
Theme: come in an outfit you've always wanted to wear or love to wear! Bust out those clothes, it's a chance to dress up and spice up your daily walk.
It's free and open to all (family, friends, pets!). I will be staying on the steps 6 ft+ away for social distancing :)"
With social distancing and quarantine being the new norm, how do we foster connections in a time of isolation? As a portrait photographer, this time poses very challenging questions to my art-making and process. This open photoshoot was my way of introducing new thinking to my art-making and explore what connection can be or look like. Almost all of the subjects were strangers yet the exchange was familiar. As an art-maker, I realise the importance of openness and sharing of my craft, no matter how big or small, a portrait can impact both their and mine's day.
